AN INK OF THE FUTURE WRITING THE PAST OF THE PRESENT.

AN INK OF THE FUTURE WRITING THE PAST OF THE PRESENT.
They don’t know you now.
Some of them don’t know me too, but I know tomorrow they won’t understand.
I knew you when things are not at the best for you. I know you even now that you struggle to keep your head above water.
The days you use needle to patch up your cloth, preventing your skin from seeing the daylight,
When you manage to use book gum to seal the smiling face of your shoe.
“They won’t know, but we both know”, I said to my self.
I put in the best of my ability to what I do, fighting so hard to keep the music in my head going. To make sure my line isn’t detached from the public light. And I smile to myself with my fine teeth, raising a hope against the ugly and decayed teeth of the global economy.
I associate myself with good people whose fine hearts are high above rubies. People who press so hard and rise to the top of the triangle.
They won’t understand, but we both do.
The other side of me asked “understand what?”
I replied.
“Understand that when they see me with you; both of us at the top smiling and rocking on wooden chairs, they will think only the rich befriends the rich,
They won’t understand that we both rose like eagles steadily on the opposing and turbulent storm of the surrounding conditions.”
They won’t understand that before your sitting room got this fashionable, you spent half of your early life in the rugged and unpainted walls of your father’s sitting room!
Truly every king was once a crying baby, but they won’t understand that before things got this better for us, we remained close dreaming together  and fighting together  for a better tomorrow.
You won’t really let me down, will you?
You would work hard so we can meet at the top, won’t you?
When they ( cloud of witnesses) see me talking with the Chief judge, politician with a good heart for change, a pastor without blemish, a writer with honor, a personality with virtue and other good things a man can be; it will be you won’t it??
When they don’t understand why it has to be big people in the same caucus, it would be you and I in the caucus, won’t it??
I hope to see you at the top!
An ink of the future written the past of the present.
This is dedicated to all my friends and groups.

THE ATTITUDE OF THE HUMAN MIND.

THE ATTITUDE OF THE HUMAN MIND. By Potter Oladipupo Samuel.

It has been said that we can create anything we can imagine.

Mind-deadening routine is the cancer of creativity. If you mindlessly go about your business the same way every day, your routine is opening you up to mistakes.

Why? Because the chances are, your habits have caused you to lose the ability to think critically and question your methods.

If you insist on doing things the way they’ve always been done, you’ll end up being out-thought, out-sold, out-produced and finally out of business.

IMAGINATION: the workshop of the mind.

The attitude of the mind, which is also called perception, has to do with the way the mind has been programmed to see things as a result of consistent imaginative process.

The attitude of the mind is the programming of the mind. Here, the mind is both the hardware and the software, so to speak.

The mind can be trained and programmed to run or function in a certain way, and once the mind has been programmed to function in a certain way, it cannot function in a contrary way unless it undergoes a re-programming.

When there are mental impressions on the mind, they give births to images in the mind which end up forming IMAGINATIONS.

Let me shock you!

“The dominant imagination of a person’s mind is the definition of the attitude of his mind

That is, the mindedness or mindset with which the person views life

Look at these instances: A mind that’s been trained in lust through consistent exposure to lustful thoughts or pornographies will see the opposite sex mainly from the sexual point of view.

A mind that’s been trained to see opportunities will view challenges differently from a mind that’s been trained to think problems.

Your mind can undergo a change.

If you are not satisfied with the results you are getting now, you need to undergo a change in your mental attitude because the results of your life have their origins there.

You must be ready to step out and try things in order to find what works and what doesn’t work for you any longer.

WIELDING YOUR IMAGINATION

WIELDING YOUR IMAGINATION  By: Potter Babatunde Oluwaseun Rawfacts

Imagination! The formation of mental image of something that is not perceived as real and is not present to the sense. Call it creativity, you’re right. Term it creative thinking you’re still on point.

But let me ask you this, “How far do you think power of imagination can go? “

Can it be limited, can imagination be impeded, hindered, stopped?

The answer is yes and no.

Imagination can be stopped, impeded. It all depends on you.

Imagination can’t be stopped, impeded. Still depending on how far you choose or decide to go.

The power of imagination lies within you!

Your daily activities are first imagined within you.

Your daily outputs are the results of what you’ve imagined.

How you wield you Imagination will determine your results.

See yourself as a seamstress, if you right weave your imagination, you’ll get the best and befitting result. If you do otherwise, you get otherwise.

See yourself as a miner, if you diligently mine your imaginative realm, the best treasures shall be discovered.

If you tenaciously run your imaginative power, you’ll be crowned with successful feat.

See yourself as a blacksmith, if you skillfully apply and engage your power of imagination, you’ll get the best tools for the shaping of the society positively.

See yourself as an athlete, if you harness all your energy and wield your imaginative power, you’ll undoubtedly become a winner.

How you wield your creative power is how far you’ll go.

If you wield your imaginative power like that of a miner, your results will be golden.

If you wield your imaginative power like that of a focused athlete, your output will be a glorious feat.

If you wield your imaginative power like that of an inventor, your products will be transformational.

Gold is scarce, it has to be mined.

Golden ideas are scarce; they have to be imagined creatively.

Diamond is strong, it has to be discovered.

Diamond-like Ideas are rare, they are discovered.

Castles are elegant and tall, they’re built on standard foundations. If you want your output to be elegant and tall, you must be ready to build it upon a strong and standard imaginative power.

Peacocks are beautiful, that’s how they’re created. If you want a beautiful output/result, wield your imaginative power beautifully.

If you want an extra ordinary output, wield your imaginative power by adding ‘extra’ to your ordinary.

It’s up to you! The power lies in your hands. Your results so far are traceable to the power of your imagination.

Ruminate on this as the last nuggets on this article.

“Imaginations are real, they’re not fantasies. They only perish in the realm of fantasy if left in the state of dormancy.

IMAGINATION, YOUR TOOL FOR SHAPING YOUR REALITY

IMAGINATION, YOUR TOOL FOR SHAPING YOUR REALITY. By: Potter Leinad Daniels.

In this article, I want to give you a very close perspective from which you should look at imagination from. I want you to see that it is true that you truly can shape your reality with your imagination.

The computer you are staring at was at one point an image in someone’s mind.  The building you are sitting in was first created in someone’s imagination.  The contract proposal you just wrote for your client began in your imagination. The activities of the imaginations are what drive our world.

Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Also called the faculty of imagining, imagination is our ability to form new pictures and sensations that are not perceived through the physical senses, namely: sight, hearing, taste, feeling or touch.  The word imagination comes from the Latin word ‘imaginari,’ which means ‘to picture oneself and depending on how you use it, your imagination can either empower or hinder you because your imagination creates your reality. Someone calls it (IMAGE NATION).

Regrettably many of us have been directed away from consciously using our imagination.  We have been told that imagination is nothing more than fantasy and has no place in our real world. We have been taught that imagination is only for those in the creative fields or children.  Yet, your imagination is always operating.  You are utilizing the faculty of imagination on a continual basis to explore and create situations and experiences.  Within your imagination everything is possible, and there are no limits.

If you employ your imagination consciously it can become your greatest collaborator.

It can allow you to move the mind from ‘what is’ so that you can create ‘what is wanted’.  Taking conscious control of your imagination involves shifting your focus from reality, and allowing your mind to live within the creative power of the dream.  In other words, you occupy the dream as if it was already fulfilled.

Imagination is not wishful thinking.  Wishful thinking is a function of the mind in which you are thinking about something but not in it.  Recalling past memories is not imagination; although you can use past memories to embody the imaginative senses in your dream.

In order for your dream to become reality in your life, it must first be created within in your imaginative world.

In other words, you must first imagine yourself BEING that Solution Provider.

You Must Imagine Yourself Being That Country /World Changer.

Don’t sit back and say “I’m Too small to start Imaging Big things

You’re Not Too Small!

To do this, you begin by removing your awareness from your current reality and place yourself in the reality of what you want.

In the mind’s eye, you begin to picture the experience as you want it to be.  You hear what you want to hear.  You add all the senses to what you are imagining and you step into the movie.  The more you occupy the mind’s movie in its totality, the more likely you are to manifest it on the physical plane.  This is what Henry David Thoreau meant in his quote, “If you built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

You can be anything, if you can imagine it.

HOW TO MAKE PERFECT USE OF YOUR IMAGINATIVE ABILITY.

HOW TO MAKE PERFECT USE OF YOUR IMAGINATIVE ABILITY. By Potter Zhulaykha Yoosuf

The real key to turning imagination into reality is acting as if the imagined scene were real and already accomplished. Instead of pretending it is a scene from the future, imagine it as though you are truly experiencing it in the present. It is a real event in the now. The great masters of antiquity have told us through the ages that whatever you believe, you become. If you believe and imagine in the ‘now’ that you are whatever you wish to be then your reality must conform.

As an exercise, take anything about your life you would like to change or enhance.

Sit back, relax, close your eyes and fantasize what you would really like to occur in your life. Don’t put any limitations on it, and don’t shroud it with doubt. Remember, there is no one who is going to judge this fantasy and no one who is going to prevent it from happening. Only you have the power to deter its realization.

If it is healing your body, then imagine yourself as you have felt in your healthiest hour. Become that again and relive it as a real occurrence in the ‘now’. Believe that you can regain your health, and this method will facilitate the healing. More and more enlightened physicians, among them Deepak Chopra, are expressing this. “You have the power to do anything you want if you first imagine it in your mind’s eye

The problem most of us have is that we look at our lives through eyes of lack, seeing only what we don’t have and dwell on that. That is also active imagination. You are imagining and actively pushing this lack into your future by dwelling on it as real in the now.

What do you want in life? If you can become it in your imagination, YOU CAN BECOME IT IN THE REAL LIFE.

IMAGINATION

IMAGINATION. By: Potter Abiola Adedoyin

“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited but imagination encircles the world.” Albert Einstein

From the context above, it is deduced that imagination is a broad word. The uniqueness of an individual lies not in their beauty, charisma or knowledge but in each individual’s ability to imagine. Our imagination allows us to soar like a bird, and discovering new ways to think about the world around us. It is the mother of invention, the birth place of fictional worlds, The place where big ideas nest, growing with time until they are ready to manifest as realities.

William Ward says “if you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it”.

As I lay on my bed writing this I thought of the replies given by the great men when asked; “how did you get here, did you ever for once think you would be here today?” They smile and reply “l have always dreamed to be great, I imagined myself here and here I am today”.

That is the power of imagination. Though too much idle daydreaming may make one impractical, a certain degree of daydreaming while not being engaged in something that requires attention provides temporary happiness, calmness and relief from stress. A developed and strong imagination does not make you a daydreamer and impractical but on the contrary strengthens your creative abilities and it’s a great tool for recreating and remodeling your world and life. When you know how to work with it, you can make your heart’s desire come true.

I have been talking about how imagination is a great tool, but I think I should also let you know this; when the power of imagination is used wrongly, we attract into our lives events, situations and people that we don’t really want. Lack of power of imagination is responsible for the suffering, incompetence, difficulties, failures and unhappiness people experience.

This I have noticed is common. For some reason people are inclined to think in a negative way, they don’t expect success, they expect the worst and when they fail they believe that fate is against them.

Before I run out of ink I would like to say this by Pablo Picasso –“everything you can imagine is real.”

THE IMAGINATION OF A HUMAN MIND

THE IMAGINATION OF A HUMAN MIND. By Potter: Emmanuel Godwin

I promise to make this article as explanatory and educative as possible.

I want to take you through the subject of IMAGINATION and how it works with the human mind.

Firstly, I need you to understand that IMAGINATION is all about creativity. I mean the essence of Imagination is that each human carrier of a mind may be Creative thereby being a CREATOR.

What is CREATIVITY?

Creativity in a simple term is the process through which something new and valuable is formed.

Having realized that, here is a question deserving an answer;

WHY IS IT THAT OPPORTUNITIES FOR GREATNESS THROUGH THE EQUAL ABILITY FOR ALL HUMANS TO IMAGINE AND CREATE EXISTS FOR ALL, AND YET ONLY A FEW EVER MAKES USE OF THIS OPPORTUNITY?

Maybe this article will help you find an answer to that.

I should highlight these important points. Why do we Imagine? Why in the first place do humans possess this ability? WHAT ARE THE REASONS FOR IMAGINATION?

The reason why is to make you experience the fullness of your humanity via the following;

  1. It enables you to think. A life that don’t think will stink
  2. It makes you an exceptional human being and an information carrier.
  3. It unleashes the potential, talents, gift and God mandates for your life.
  4. It makes you a world changer like THE METRO POTTERS. It will make you a solution carrier and a problem solver.
  5. It will make you a gift to mankind. It gives you a platform to rule.
  6. It makes you famously influential. e.g Dangote, Barack Obama, Bill Gates and other great men.
  7. It gives you the power to do and undo.
  8. It makes you reason faster and more precisely.
  9. It can make you kill or save. It can either save life or destroy life.

Having said all these, I would love to take you through the prerequisites for engaging in Productive imaginative process.

MAJOR PREREQUISITES FOR IMAGINATION

  1. SACRIFICE

Sacrifice is denying oneself of all necessary conveniences in order to attain a particular height or achieve a certain end. You must be willing to do this.

  1. TRIED AND TESTED

You must be ready to go through unusual committed processes in order to imagine appropriately. Rather than idly sitting down and forcing yourself on some mental exercise.

  1. STRENGTH

You must be strong enough to go to miles with your mind until you find that which you seek in your imaginative world.

  1. ENCOURAGEMENT

You must create an atmosphere for yourself which will give you as much encouragement.

  1. TRUST

You must trust your guts and intuition as these are the channels through which your five senses which happen to be the devices of your lower and physical consciousness connect with your imaginative world.

  1. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

You must possess a very strong belief in yourself.

  1. RELIABILITY/ DEPENDABILITY

You must be true to yourself.

  1. SET GOALS
  2. BE COMMITTED, DEVOTED, and DEDICATED.

In my ideology, there are 2 types of Imagination,

Types of IMAGINATION

  1. Divine
  2. Natural Imagination

Note Bene: Your Imagination may either come as (+) POSITIVE or (-) NEGATIVE.

What will make your imagination positive is when you think positive towards living the reality of your great potentials.

WHAT ARE POTENTIALS

Potentials  are the growing capacity embedded in you.

Your imagination will be negative when you have bad influence surrounding your motive for imagining things.

The keyword now is that imagination is always the result of your mind set.

When your motive is wrong, your imagination can never be right.

ARE THERE EVER LIMITS TO IMAGINATION?

ARE THERE EVER LIMITS TO IMAGINATION? By: Potter Olanrewaju Opeyemi Olayinka

After reading so many write ups and books on the subject_ Imagination, I realised a lot of great minds have done enough justice to the word “Imagination. So from these numerous definitions, I will convincingly agree that “IMAGINATION is a mental image created by conception and notion of things going on in our minds.

Yes! Imaginations are mental images in our mind. But do you know that it is possible to have images and pictures right around us and yet we could not see? Have you ever wondered why you have a very beautiful person around your vicinity, yet his or her presence wasn’t noticed regardless of the person’s beauty, If these things are quite possible and do happen on our day to day activities, then I convincingly believe it’s possible to have mental images in the mind and yet not seen by the very carrier of the mind.

Why does this happen? Why do we have so much mental images within our imaginative realm of consciousness and yet we don’t perceive them?

I should let you know this truth:

“For imaginations to be efficient, it has to be cognitive; it has to be comprised of images steered by logic and not just mere emotions or idle practice of mental exercise.

The process of productive Imaginations does not just happen; it is premeditated on a thought and founded on an intention. No one has ever imagined without being thoughtful, though having a thought that fails to transform to an imagination is quite useless.

Imagination is an ever transforming process starting from a thought which eventually takes your thought process and capacity way beyond the limit initially intended. Until you become conscious of your thought, your imaginative psyche will never become activated and the gateway through which the images seen are transferded to your lower consciousness remains shut. Imagination always goes on in our mind, but until we become conscious of it, and process it objectively, we will have no template through which we can put it into creative use.

The mind is the abode of both our thoughts and imaginations. The power of Imagination can only be seen when we set out to see those images painted in our mind. Until your thought transforms to mental images in your mind, i.e Imagination, the thoughts are useless. Until that imagination transforms to a fully fledged picture, it is worthless. And until the picture sets into motion and becomes a dream, you have no template to become creative.

Someone recently gave a reinvigorating meaning to H.I.V. when he posited that H.I.V is Having Insufficient Vision. Vision requires consciousness and until you are conscious of your thoughts, it can’t be transformed. For imaginations to be sufficient, it has to be cultivated. Cultivating our imaginations begins with being cognitive with our THOUGHTS and only ends when we become CREATIVE. Creativity is the only acceptable end result of our imaginations and until we create something with our thoughts cum imaginations, we are only being delusional.

Having given reasons why cultivating our imaginations is imperative, let me summarily state that a cultivated imagination gives a SENSE OF DIRECTION. A well galvanized imagination makes a person know what he wants, how and when he wants it. “A good head headed in wrong direction is useless” they say. A person’s cultivated imagination keeps him or her on track and gets him glued to things that are only consistent with his or her imagination.

In furtherance, a cultivated imagination brings PERSISTENCE and FOCUS, even in times when your imaginations cum your pictures in motion (dreams) seem to be heading for the rock, you get more re-assured and tenacious as you will never want to settle for less except that which you have imagined and cultivated is actualised. A builder only builds what is on the plan. An imaginative mind only sets out for that which it has imagined.

Conclusively, let me end by saying that if you cultivate your imaginations, your dreams come through as you will become a CREATOR. Without CREATIVITY your IMAGINATION becomes a DELUSION.

HOW TO CREATE YOUR REALITY WITH THE POWER OF YOUR IMAGINATION

HOW TO CREATE YOUR REALITY WITH THE POWER OF YOUR IMAGINATION By: Potter Oyeboade Mayowa.

Imagination is said to be a creator of reality. This truth is evident in all the inventions and the innovations upon which one world depends on today. Every reality was created by a being’s imagination. What do you want in life? What reality do you yearn to experience? I want to assure you in this article that those things you yearn to have are not only meant to be confined in where you created them in your imaginative world, they can adequately be passed on into the realistic world.

I will show you just how to do that. How do you create your reality with the power of your imagination?

Can you be brilliantly eloquent? Can you be great at anything you choose to do? Can you speak with eloquence and power in front of a group of people? If you answered “no, no, no” or “get real” or any variation of those responses, I have good news for you, and the good news is what I have packed into the paragraphs of this article. Read on.

Although ‘your present reality’ may indicate that the answers are “no”, but you CAN do all of the above in your imagination! In your imagination, you can be anything you want to be, do anything you want to do, realize any deferred dream that you have labeled as unreachable in the glum reality of your analytical “real” world.

Do you remember when you were a kid, how much fun you could have imagining yourself to be a super hero, acting in concert with your imagination? You could fly, you could stop a speeding bullet, and you could leap over tall buildings. And then, you grew up, you dreamed less and less. You forgot the power of your imagination, you discarded imagination as just one of these unrealistic human mental engagements. You missed something! You don’t know that imagination is one of the greatest powers built within you to affect your reality.

Maxwell Matz, in his bestselling book, Psycho Cybernetics, tells the story of how he discovered one of the most empowering principles for human change. Dr. Maltz was a plastic surgeon.  He tells the story about a young woman who came to him to get an ugly scar removed from her cheek.  After the very successful surgery, which restored her beautiful skin, the woman still could not erase her perception of herself as being “ugly”.  This case and many others related to it led Dr. Maltz to articulate the powerful connection between imagination and reality. And the connection can be summed up in these few words: “if you imagined something vividly enough for long, it will become your reality. Regardless of whether the thing is realistic or not

 Let’s do some breaking down.

What is reality?Reality is what we perceive to be real.” Yet we know from everyday experience that two individuals can look at the same scene or event and have widely different perceptions of the reality of that event.  Your imagination can powerfully affect your perception.  And your perception is what becomes your reality.  So then the question is, how can you harness your imagination to create the reality that you want? The answer lies in understanding how to wield the tool of your imagination, choosing the correct approach, and using the proper techniques.  Let’s look at these more closely.

WIELDING THE TOOL OF YOUR IMAGINATION

Your imagination runs on six channels of perception.  These are our five senses plus one more: seeing (visual), hearing (auditory), touching (kinesthetic), smelling (olfactory), tasting (gustatory), and the internal sense I can only describe as “an internal perceptive mechanism or feeling hub that is not directly connected to the five senses but fixedly connected to the human mind. (In it is categorized the Instinct, Intuition, gut feeling and the likes”. The principle behind the most effective use of your imagination is this: the more vividly you use each channel and the more channels that you use in your imagination, the greater will be the impact of your imagination on your reality. You add vividness to your imagination by imagining in sharp detail, bright colors, distinct sounds, sensitive touch, distinctive odors, exact taste, and deep feeling.  We know that people tend to favor the use of one or two channels as the preferred way of perceiving their environment.  Regardless of what your preferred channel is, you can increase the impact of your imagination by using as many channels as possible when you imagine an outcome that you want.

Let’s apply this knowledge to a specific situation – giving a speech.  In your mind’s eye, see yourself appropriately dressed, brimming with confidence, being introduced to the audience.  You see the audience excited at the prospect of hearing you speak.  You hear their applause as you are introduced.  You see the encouraging smiles of specific audience members.  You feel a positive excitement in yourself and feel absolutely confident that you have something of value to give the audience this day and that you are going to have a wonderful time with them.  The words roll out of your mouth with ease and yet with excellent articulation and vocal variety. You can see the members of your audience hanging onto every word you say.  You see their positive expressions.  You make eye contact.  You hear your words rolling out with eloquence and power.  Your voice has never felt better. You are having fun!

CORRECT APPROACHES TO USING YOUR IMAGINATION.

There are five steps to using your imagination to achieve any goal.

1.DO NOT TOLERATE NEGATIVITY.

If you have an “I can’t” attitude about actually achieving what you want, you will sabotage the power of your imagination.  If it’s difficult to drop the negativity then “reframe” the situation, i.e., alter the meaning of the content of your imagination or find a positive context to wrap around the situation.  If all else fails, just pretend to be positive.

2.CREATE POSITIVITY.

Get excited.  Imagine with enthusiasm!

3.USE MULTI-CHANNEL IMAGERY.

Imagine with at least three channels or more as I described in the previous paragraph.

4.IMAGINE REGULARLY, AS MANY TIMES A DAY AS POSSIBLE.

For some, the best times to practice your imagination exercises are when you first wake up in the morning and before retiring at night. Find out what time befits you and make it a daily routine.

5.DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

Do everything possible to match the desired outcome that you will imagine.  For example, if you have to give a speech, do your homework to get the speech researched, written, practiced and ready.  Simply imagining success without putting in the required work is a fool’s dream unless you already have a very high level of skill in the endeavor.

At this point, you must have realized that proper imagination takes work! Creative imagination is not daydreaming.  Creative imagination is an organized approach to creating in our minds the reality we want.  It takes energy.  But it is fun and most important. It works! Apply the proper techniques.  If you have a fair degree of confidence with yourself, you can apply what I call the “First Person” technique.  Here, you are the star of the show in the theater of your imagination.  The previously described public speaking example uses the First Person technique.  If your confidence is not very high, it might be difficult for you to imagine yourself doing a wonderful job as a speaker.  In that case, you can try the “Third Person” technique.  In this case, you imagine someone who is very good at doing whatever it is you want to imagine yourself doing well.  But after a few sessions of imagining that person doing well, you gradually replace that person with yourself in the winning sights, sounds, and feelings of your imagination.

Tap into the power of your imagination. Turn on the lights in the theater of your mind. Do your homework.  Practice multi-channel imagery. Do it with enthusiasm. Have fun. Do it regularly. Then, one day, you will discover that what you imagined with such fervor has become your magical reality.

Could you imagine that?
